After taking some pictures of the stars on a clear night in an area with little light pollution, I thought I’d share the lightroom preset I created. You can read more about Astrophotography and some requirements here.
Basically, here’s what I did to the picture. I boosted the exposure, highlights, and whites for some exposure correction. I increased the contrast and clarity to enable the stars to pop out. I then bumped up the saturation and vibrance. I also added two grads on either side of the milky way to add some colour and make the milkyway, though untouched, stand out. Lastly, some noise reduction was required. Obviously, your pictures might need tweaking when using this preset, based on what you have at the start.
