There’s a tree in this corn field that I would drive by daily. It sits up on a slight hill and from my vantage point it looks like there is nothing else behind it. I wanted to take a picture of this serene scene, so I had my camera at the ready for several days until one morning, the lighting was just right. I edited some of the shots in black and white because, though I really like the colour, the starkness of the black and white speaks more to the sense of isolation of the tree.
