After my daughter found a leaf that “glows”, we collected a bunch of colourful leaves and used a strobe to light them up from the back. The resulting images are simple, minimalist, artistic, and brilliant.
Toogood Pond in Unionville, Ontario, is spectacular in fall, a photographer’s dream, when the brilliant hues of the fall foliage reach a crescendo in early October before everything changes to the monotone palate of winter a mere month later.
They become martyrs for their kind, a whispered topic of talk carried in the breeze amongst trees in forests everywhere. To these, the few, the last fallen, I pay tribute. Frozen in time, preserved ’til thaw, the legends of the fall.
No award winners here, just a couple of pictures of the glorious season of fall.
Here’s an easy set up for some themed thanksgiving pictures that doesn’t take much work. All you need is some things you probably have out for your Halloween display anyway.
Fall. Autumn. Whatever word you call the season, it is perhaps the most spectacular season of all. The time when the green leaves turn to brilliant reds and yellows.
Where I enter the park, there is a lone maple tree with large reaching branches and in the fall, the yellow colours are absolutely brilliant especially in contrast to the dark colour of the bark.
