During a trip to Costa Rica last year, I was drawn to this majestic rock on a point near Playa Conchal. After the sun had risen, this jagged rock jutting out from the ocean looked absolutely majestic against the back drop of a clear blue sky. But the harsh sunlight created an extreme dynamic range of exposure, the perfect fit for some black and white pictures.
Well I’ve experimented quite a bit with different sharpening settings in Lightroom and thought I’d share two of the ones that work the best for me, and of course they are absolutely free.
In a previous post, I posted some pictures of hoar frost. Here I’ve re-posted some of the pictures with the before Lightroom editing and after.
Here’s another pretty cool Lightroom preset. In a previous post, I posted a picture of a baby lying on some faux fur. Here I’ve reposted the picture with the raw picture and the version after applying the preset. I’ve called this a Faux Fur preset, but it can be used for other things as well.
