Despite the animal and volcano sightings not living up to their billing, the waterfalls and streams in Costa Rica definitely did not disappoint.
The Trees in the Sand
The tide was just receding so the sand was still wet and the low sun was accenting these beautiful patterns of lines in the sand. Nature’s temporary fossil creations, soon to be dried out and trampled out by revelers on the beach.

Newborn Chloe
New parents always go through such a range of emotions during those first few months—from intense excitement to total exhaustion and everything in between. Front and Rear Curtain Sync
A great way to capture movement when using flash photography is something called rear curtain sync or front curtain sync. Either of these options are great to use when photographing any movement indoors, like dancing, as I did at a recent wedding.
